Every number HI publishes carries a source, a rights status, and a confidence level. This page is the ledger.
The trust chain
Evidence → Source → Rights → Confidence. A value is only sold, served via API, or fed to AI once its rights are cleared and its confidence is high enough. Modeled and sample values are labeled as such and are never sold as fact.

Confidence levels
- Verified / High — checked against an authoritative source.
- Modeled estimate — derived by HI's documented model where no single public source exists.
- Sample — seed/demo value, never sold or fed to AI.
Rights model
HI only licenses, redistributes, or AI-feeds data it holds the rights to. Datasets show their rights status on the data products page; 2 of 4 current datasets are rights-cleared.
Corrections
Found a wrong number? Report a correction — it is logged to the Correction Registry and the affected figures are re-reviewed.
